The designed task was to design this brochure to fit within the writer's vision of a "photo album" theme. My solution was to push the parameters of a "photo album" look which was visually limiting, to a "snapshot" theme which did away with any visual and design limitations. Because of budget restrictions, the client wanted to use their existing photography. My suggestion and solution was to strategically pick stock photography lifestyle/beauty shots and combined them with the client's existing customer "snapshots", enlarging the beauty shots and downplaying the existing photography. The customer also wanted to include "before and after" shots that were not necessarily pleasant to look but still necessary to their message. My solution was to locate them in a fold-out panel on the back inside cover; present but not front and center.
